We don't tend to use the "K Word" very much aboard the lounge, lest a sudden rush of hen parties come tumbling down our gangplank; but those who frequent our weekly Open Mic night will know that we're not ADVERSE to a few empty-orchestra backing tracks, and will also likely be familiar with both Glenn and Sam, who will be hosting tonight's Karaoke spectacular!
The 1980's theme is guideline, not hard'n'fast law - name your favourite karaoke number and if it's a banger, we can make exceptions!
The lounge is open and serving our vast selection of cocktails from 7, with singing from 9. No nerves required, even Captain Steve will surely do a couple of numbers at the end (good reason to sign yourself up for a song or two and delay the inevitable?)

Alongside his comedy, he is also a bestselling, award-winning author. & DANIELLE COOPER Dani Cooper is a reformed Eastend comedian who specialises in delivering relatable and honest (perhaps too honest) tales of a queer woman in the prime of her life. Her pathological need to connect with strangers shines through in both her act and her MCing. Compere: GUY LLOYD Guy Lloyd likes nothing more than talking about himself. As he says: "If someone else is talking to me, chances are my eyes will glaze over, and I’ll start trying to steer the conversation back to me." Apart from being a local radio host, a professional show off, and a rather minor Brighton celebrity (he's been on the telly), Guy is a very loud vegan with great hair.

Dedicated to the love of great music (and great cocktails, of course) the night is probably Brighton's warmest and most nurturing open mic session; welcoming performers of all varieties: from pop-singalongs with karaoke backing, to acapella groups and spoken word poets; self-penned acoustic numbers, to tuba solos!
We're rigged up to play backing tracks or link your guitar to the PA, and (of course) you're welcome to make use of our baby grand; or simply come along and appreciate the range of talent on display!
